Your Mayor

Tommy Longo - Democrat

I’m a lifelong resident of the great City of Waveland. I attended St. Stanislaus High School than studied business administration and accounting at Pearl River and Mississippi College. Later, I returned to college, becoming a Mental Health Therapist. I was President of the family Trucking Company until being elected Alderman in 1994. I was blessed to be elected Mayor in 1998.

I’m married to an extremely patient wife Marcia and we have five children - Tiffany, Cali, Johnny, Raven and Mya.

No mayor could be more proud of the citizens he represents or the employees who work diligently every day to increase the quality of life in Waveland. Much has been done, however there is much more to do. Everyday progress is made and with your continued strength and perseverance, our wonderful citizens will have their great city flourishing once again.

May God Bless You.

Sincerely,
Mayor Tommy Longo

Ward One Alderman

Contact Info:

Lili Stahler - Independent

A retired business owner, I can devote full time to being a responsive alderman, available to the people of ward 1, their voice in city government, and address their day to day needs.

Since the spring, I have put out a monthly newsletter for my neighbors, recapping the City Meetings. I plan to send a monthly newsletter to every resident in Ward 1 and I will bear all costs.

I will help to formulate a four year plan with a timeline for the City and distribute it to the residents. I will take the certification courses, offered to city employees.

Ward Two Alderman

Contact Info:

Ricky Geoffrey - incumbent - Democrat (photograph to be posted soon)

I am married with two children. I have lived in Waveland for 27 years. Serving as alderman is a serious responsibility and I’ve had this privilege for the past eight years. During Katrina I sent my family North and stayed behind, so I would be here to help afterwards. Delivering water and ice to people who lost everything was heart-wrenching. The devastation we faced together was unbelievable.
Looking back I’m thankful God gave me the guidance to stay and serve. Now we must look forward and work together once again, to rebuild Waveland even better than before.
